  2. As known in the UK... at least. Caravan - towed behind vehicle. Often transported around the UK to various camp-sites and connected up to services (water, electric, etc) when parked up, but also sometimes parked for years at a time, like a static caravan might be. Static Caravan. Usually stays in one place for many years, or forever. Can only be relocated on the back of a large truck. Permanently hooked up to utilities. This is what i think of when you guys say Trailer. Motor Home - UK style Motor home - US style

  5. After reading some of the other reviews of the site, I was going to ask what a "caravan" was/is. The above pictures show what I would call a "house trailer" or "mobile home," rather than a "camp trailer" which would be easily towed behind a light-duty pickup. An RV, or recreational vehicle also called a "motorhome," is self-propelled not unlike a bus having interior living accommodations. Since you added the word "static" before "caravans", I'm more convinced they're the equivalent of house trailers one would find in a "trailer park" or "mobile home park" here in the US. Trailer parks are commercial businesses that rent (long-term) space to owners of house trailers. So, while the house trailers are residential structures, the land on which they sit are not usually owned by the same person that owns the trailer. In the US mid-west, trailer parks are famous for being tornado magnets, because inevitably if a tornado strikes, the damaged and flattened mobile home park headlines the broadcast news. Suffice it to say that, because the pool cue tips were missing, I'll probably pass on making reservations at this location; pool cue tips are simply a must-have item when I go camping.
  6. Got another World Championship deck tech for you guys! Sidisi Whip is a Sultai Reanimator deck that was actually a fair, mid-range deck that used reanimation to go wide with tokens. It's quite different from the usual "cheat a massive threat into play" style of reanimator you might be used to. Check it out!

  8. That's pretty much how campsites are across Europe. Having camped in the Rocky's, i am aware of the other side - log-piles bigger than my house, 132 miles to your nearest neighbour, RV's the size of a small country, etc. The other cultural difference is - what you guys refer to as trailers, along with all the bad press that goes with them, we call static-caravans, which are prized and sought after holiday homes. They tend to live alongside camping pitches. Often exceeding brick-built homes for their elegance and refinements.
  9. The camp spot looks like it is in a residential area, out on someone's lawn, but surrounded by hedge. Is it as cultivated as it looks, or is there "wild" natural territory about?
  10. It's not uncommon to hear people say that you should never open booster packs. But surely there are times when it's worth it, right? Surely SOME sets are worth opening, because it has really powerful cards, right? Right?? WRONG! In this video, I discuss how the prices of singles an the prices of packs equalize on the secondary market it, making it perpetually NOT WORTH IT to open ANY SET in existence. -------------------------------------------- Support this channel by using my Amazon Affiliate link. 11. Yikes! Some interesting cards that have been previewed recently. This thing seems a little clunky, but also super explosive, especially in 5-color decks. Also, this! Does anyone get the reference? I didn't catch it at first, but 'tis but a flesh wound! Finally, this is looking like a sideboard card that's going to seriously shut down any spell-based combo decks like Storm, and Izzet Phoenix as well if it survives the Faithless Looting ban.

  15. We overspent last Summer in the US. So went cheap this year. At the end of August we had 9 nights under canvas (well poly-propylene anyway) at Oakdown Campsite in Sunny South Devon. And sunny it was. Scorching every day, except the last, when it began to drizzle as we were packing the tent into it's bag... I'll take that. The region is lovely, dotted by superb beaches and seaside towns. One in particular was called Beer and is now my favourite place in the world. Most of the beaches were pebble, which wasn't great for us or the dog. We had some issues on the campsite, which didn't spoil things too much. But as it's supposed to be among the top 5 campsites in the UK, I was hoping for more. I've written a review on trip advisor, if anyone's interested, here: https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g551699-d5984048-r708917851-Oakdown_Touring_Holiday_Caravan_Park-Weston_Sidmouth_Devon_England.html I'd bought a couple of board games with us to try out, for some evening family fun. One that we really enjoyed was Forbidden Island. One thing that's novel is that it's cooperative - you play together to beat the game. This is remarkably good at avoiding any arguments, and i'd recommend it for 9+. Oddly enough, we've found it easier to beat with just 2 players, than with 3. Pics inc. The last picture is of Winnie waiting patiently for Mum's return. The 3rd is us playing Forbidden Island. The panoramic is from above Charmouth, which is famous for it's fossils.

  22. Big giant troll beater that can get back into the battlefield from the graveyard. Important note: You don't need to have cast the troll to reanimate it, so if you can get it into your grraveyard and generate 3 food tokens quickly, this could result in a Troll King Reanimator type of thing. We'll have to see how easily it is to reach 3 Food tokens, and whether or not we get ways to get into the graveyard efficiently.
  23. These cards do things. Lots of things. XD
  24. This seems pretty crazy in midrange decks. It's Hero's Downfall with a 2/3 liflinker and it goes back into your deck (at the bottom) when it dies. Super yikes. It's slow, but seems like it could be the thing that wins a lot of games in midrangey, black-based control decks.
  25. I like the idea that Zendikar won't be all about Eldrazi. Zendikar was one of my favorite blocks, Battle for Zendikar was a huge letdown, personally anyway. Maybe I'll enjoy this one more. Aren't 2 of those sets supposed to be related?
  26. Return to Theros? Sounds like it could be fun. I thought Theros was a bit of a missed opportunity. Zendikar again? I loved the original Zendikar, but let's stop returning to planes over and over. There are other more interesting planes I'd rather revisit. Behemoths sounds interesting.
