  1. Well, it's been a great time. We're going on an indefinite hiatus after much deliberation, and wanted to send things off in a delightfully ramshackle way with a last call for listener questions. We would like to take a moment to thank each and every one of you who has listened for all these years for your constant support and feedback. This has been a great project and we've been incredibly lucky to have found something that has brought enjoyment to all of you. Thanks an we hope to entertain you again some day! 2. While we were busy with reintroducing the format and taking vacations, a huge announcement hit! After years of outcry from players, Wizards of the Coast has unified the paper and Magic Online card pools! We're going through some of the cards likely to make a splash! On another note, the show will be going on an indefinite hiatus after next week's episode, there's more detail in the audio, but the long and short is we felt it was time to let the show come to somewhat natural end for the time being. we may return in the future but for now, we've said our piece. Thank you all so very much for your support over the years, and if you have any requests for the final episode next week, please let us know! View the full article
  3. We're rounding out this reintroduction to pauper with combo! come with us as we explore the wild and wacky combo decks as Mike struggles to get to the vague understanding he has of how various decks actually function. We also delve into the very shallow pool of cards that we think might see play out of the newest core set! 8. With the recent bannings the meta has been shaken to its very core. This week we delve into lists from the most recent challenge to see what new spice can be found in the wake of some unprecedented bannings in pauper. An old favorite of Mike's as well as an out of left field Blue/Red deck are among the 5 different lists we're highlighting this week. 9. Gush is gone. The biggest surprise was what went with it. With such a massive shake up to the metagame we had to invite our spikiest of friends on the show to discuss the fallout of this huge decision, so we of course turned to Kendra, aka The Maverick Girl. 10. Here it is, we took a week off to bring you a real experiment in the format of our podcast. This week we're on the eve of a B&R announcement and wanted to talk about the discourse surrounding it from a slightly more academic perspective than we usually take. 13. With Tax Day just having passed us by, we figured there's no better time to talk about a classic standby in other formats: Death and Taxes. What would some of the classic pieces of this deck look like if they were shifted to common? It might have been a pipe dream once upon a time, but with uncommon planeswalkers, who knows what the future could hold?
