  1. Back when Eternal Masters was released, it seemed like Legacy got a little bump. It's still a hard format to enter because of price, but the reprints helped. Had some hopes that Iconic Masters would do the same, but after looking through the spoilers I don't see that many reprints that will help Legacy players. Am I missing reprints that are badly needed?
  2. I heard a little about this but honestly didn't believe it until I looked up the booster boxes on eBay. And it's not just this seller, a ton of sellers have boxes at the Buy it Now price of $140 with free shipping. A month after release the boxes are more than $100 less than MSRP. For a set that was supposed to highlight the 25th anniversary of MTG this has to be a big disappointment for WotC. The value just isn't in the set.
  3. Im thinking of picking up a playset of Aether Vial and plan on getting them about a month or two after release when people try to offload the cards they dont want but before the prices stabilize. Is this a decent time period to start buying Iconic Master cards? What do you usually plan on doing when youre wanting singles from a Master set?
  4. So, Hasbro will be hosting it's own convention (Hascon), and has announced another surprise spoiler set Iconic Masters offers players a tour through some of the most iconic cards in Magic history. Featuring new artwork on many cards, the set brings an array of Angels, Sphinxes, Demons, Dragons, and Hydras alongside some of our favorite and most memorable spells over the game's entire history. Iconic Masters is truly a celebration of Magic's 25 years. Every box contains 24 booster packs of 15 cards each, including one premium card in every pack—perfect for drafting with your friends. Iconic Masters, which is being released as part of Magic's 25th Anniversary celebration, does not actually release until November 17, but that's what makes the event at HASCON so special. Back when Magic was still young, Prereleases used to be experiences that players entered into without knowing a single card in the set. Previews didn't exist, and Prerelease participants were experiencing the cards for the first time. --- Set Name: Iconic Masters Number of Cards: 249 Release Date: November 17, 2017 Magic Online On Sale Date: November 17, 2017 Official Three-Letter Code: IMA Twitter Hashtag:#MTGIMA Languages Available: English, Chinese Simplified, Japanese MSRP: $9.99 *Applies to U.S. Only
