Not surprising that you can make statistics imply whatever you want.

Alaska's population is ~750k, and Anchorage is the only city in the state with a population >100k.  Anchorage's population is ~300k.  One person with an STD or one crime event represent a greater percentage of the population (per capita) than in cities or states in the lower 48.  Since almost half the state's population is in Anchorage, one person from that city holds more sway over the rest of the state's statistics, and therefore we can draw only one conclusion:

Fucking Anchorage moose.

(edit to add: ... and it should be no surprise since Alaskans are known for their ability to survive and thrive in extremely harsh environments - possibly even those like Bangkok or Chicago.)

Of course you can spin stats any way you want.  But Alaska being the STD capital is funny ... because its not Ohio.

And there's no way NJ is the 10th lowest.  The Jersey Shore cast alone has to push them at least to the top 20.

A lot of rural areas are like that.  Not much to do other than drink and have sex.

The hell you say.  There's always domestic abuse, too.  One week it's his turn, the next hers.

[edit:  too soon?]

Alaska sucks. <end of transmission>

According to Dunnar's article, there is an abundance of transmission in Alaska, and some of it may include sucking.  I wouldn't know, personally.
