Yes. I've been rediscovering music in my stack of vinyl records and sharing here. I recently blew the dust off my old phonograph and got it back in working order (sort of - the spring on the cover gave up so I have to hold it open when I change or flip a record). I have it piped through my old amplifier/receiver and both to standalone speakers and my desktop PC (for a little analog-digital conversion and archival purpose). They still sound great to me ... but then again I suffer from hearing loss due to too many years working without hearing protection (it wasn't a thing back then).

Yeah that was auto-tuned so hard.  Felt like I was listening to Brittany Spears.  Disappointing.

2000-2005 Britney Spears or post mental breakdown Britney Spears?

Has she ever not been auto-tuned?

Probably not, but it's much worse now.  Not even the auto tune can make it sound halfway pleasant.

Didn't someone post about Vinyl records last year?

Vinyl sales made more than downloads last week

didn't want to make a new post ... just threw it here.

I've got nine vinyl LPs on the way right now. I'm definitely part of the vinyl renaissance! What's in the mail, you ask? Well...

I'm just in one of those moods ... and this music suits it perfectly.  100% synthesized and old ... but yet remains just as expressive as ever at the same time.  This here is some fine "lay on the couch, close your eyes, and just soak it in" music.

Fin seems to like this stuff, and it's part of my soul. If you don't like the first half, try it from 1:45. It's like a different track.

Heard this song on the radio the other day and it caught my ear so I went to find out more about the band.  Turns out that cute little girl from Jim Carreys Grinch is grown up (well, more grown up) and in a rock band.  Go figure.

Yup ... I listened to one of Tom Petty's albums today while at work (Wildflowers).  But then I also listened to one of my favorite Webb Wilder albums.  I recommend it for listening entertainment (and the music is pretty good, too).  Here's a nibble ...

In honor of this thread, I present ... Mountain from their Climbing! album, which on the back of the cover reads, "THIS RECORD WAS MADE TO BE PLAYED LOUD."  (yes, all caps)   :D

Lyrics

Mississippi Queen
You know what I mean
Mississippi Queen
She taught me everything

Went down around Vicksburg
Around Louisiana way
Where lived the Cajun Lady
Aboard the Mississippi Queen

You know she was a dancer
She moved better on wine

While the rest of them dudes were gettin' their kicks
Boy, I beg your pardon, I was gettin' mine

Mississippi Queen
If you know what I mean
Mississippi Queen
She taught me everything

This lady she asked me
If I would be her man
You know that I told her
I'd do what I can

To keep her lookin' pretty
Buy her dresses that shine

While the rest of them dudes were makin' their friends
Boy, I beg your pardon, I was loosin' mine

You know she was a dancer
She moved better on wine

While the rest of them dudes were gettin' their kicks
Boy, I beg your pardon, I was gettin' mine

Yeah, Mississippi Queen
