What drives me crazy is they traded A.J. Mccarren away before the season started.  I'm not saying the dude is Tom Brady but he's not Derek Anderson, either.  Their games are hard to watch, the MNF game will be brutal.

I didn't understand that either.  Side note ... last year at this time, Hue Jackson wanted to trade a second and third for AJ and our GM bungled the paperwork.  THANK GOD!!!!

So you are back to Peterman ... against the Bears ... with no backup.  And your D just played their asses off too.  Yikes!  That game has 40-10 written all over it.

I have been hurt too many times.  I was surprised the jets game was so smooth.  I hope its the same against the Bills.  I hope they rest Mack.

Overall the trade deadline was good for the bears.  Lions and GB both ditched starters to build for next year.

Fun tidbit.  Bears are favored by 10 points.  When was the last time the Bears were favored by 10 points?  2006 against the Arizona Cardinals.  Won after being down 20 points at halftime.  I was at a bar and grill will all my friends and every one of them was talking shit while I ate my fries.  I was feeling low.  Then that second half.  Damn.  I was running around the entire place with all the other Bear fans there that night.  High fiving and cheering in wild disbelief and excitement.  Highlights:

Followed by this epic piece of NFL history.

That is one of the best moments I can remember.

True story ... me and my buddies used to go to Vegas every year.  Me and one of my friends left Monday morning while another one stayed behind.  The one that stayed behind bet the Cardinals on the money line.  He bet $100 and it paid like 10 to 1, so it was like a $1000 payout.

We got off the plane and started listening to it late in the 3rd ... knowing that our buddy had a substantial bet on the Cards.  We listened to the rest of the game on the ride home in utter disbelief.

After the game, we talked to my friend ... I have never heard him so disgusted.

They are who we thought they were is a running joke among me and my friends.

What a Sunday ... Bears, Browns, Bills and Cowboys all win.

When's the last time that the folks rooting here all celebrated on the same week?

In other news ... Rams v Chiefs O/U opens at 64.

After spending years wandering around the back woods of NFL irrelevancy, it FINALLY feels like the Browns are building something.  Something that will be real, sustained and meaningful.

We're back baby!

The Browns are currently 6-7-1. They play the Bengals on Sunday, who are sitting at 6-8. If the Browns win, they'll be 7-7-1, and the Bengals will be 6-9. The Browns are guaranteed to finish ahead of the Bengals regardless of what happens in week 17.

The last time the Browns were not in last place in the AFC North was 2010, when the Browns were 5-11 and the Bengals were 4-12. For the past seven seasons, the Browns have occupied the cellar of the division.

A win on Sunday ends that 7-season streak.

I am starting to love Browns fans.  They are not acting bitter, or salty as a whole.  They are legitimately happy for and celebrating every small improvement.  I don't think there is a fanbase that deserves it more than the Browns.

Thank you. It is hard for other fan bases to understand the complete lack of hope we have endured for over a generation.

My son is driving. During his life, they have never made the playoffs and only finished higher than 4th 3 times...in a 4 team division.

Playoff picture is clearing up.

AFC is wide open. Every team has a glaring weakness.

Saints are going to be very tough to beat at home. Feel like the Bears are one of the only teams that can go in there and win.

Why on earth didn't the bears lay down for Minnesota?  12-4 and home playoff games don't come around very often and you need to take advantage when they do.

@Jag you have to be sick.  Why did they get rid of Gould?

Baltimore, Seattle and Chicago were eliminated ... makes me really think that having a good D in today's NFL isn't really necessary.

Mahomes, Luck, Watson, Goff, Trubisky, Prescott all made the playoffs.  Plus guys like Mayfield and Allen... lots of young guns at QB should make for an interesting NFL going forward.

All of our teams among those of us with rooting interests have a young gun.  I feel like the Browns finally have a franchise QB and will be in a very strong position going forward with potentially a top 10, top 5 kind of guy.  How do you feel about yours?

I was worried about Prescott's progress last year and this but he has turned it around the last half of this season.  You still need a good defense, but you have to have a QB that can help them out by scoring some points and/or drain the clock too.  Watson/Trubisky need more time.
