  1. Yesterday
  2. Cheers mate. Lovely looking place. I smiled when i saw they have a "Snyder" hall room. I might have missed some of it, but i don't think it's the type of cabin-by-a-lake we're looking for. We're looking for a private cabin that only we are staying in. Like this... https://images.app.goo.gl/Zc6HbsD4oyWejzVH8 Also, i've visited both Yosemite and Glacier nat park already, and would prefer to go somewhere i've not been before, which pretty much knocks the west side of the US out of the park. Thanks for the suggestions though.
  3. Cheers buying it.
  4. Yes ... few years ago we went to Yellowstone and Glacier national parks. We stayed at a cabin right by Lake McDonald. Their internet happened to be out and the way its situated in the mountains, there was no cell service. We literally had no contact with the outside world for 2 days. https://www.glaciernationalparklodges.com/lodging/lake-mcdonald-lodge/ Glacier National Park is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Look up pictures of the lake and you'll see why. There was a lot of wildlife around with plenty of hiking trails. It made for a really fun, relaxing time. As we drove back into civilization and I got a cell signal, my phone buzzed with missed call and an accompanying message. The call took place at 2am and was from work. That made me smile.
  5. Thinking about next years travels. It's been a dream of mine to rent a lakeside cabin, somewhere very green like the Adirondacks, or Vermont. Doesn't need to be a hot place - would in fact prefer it to not be hot - but not freezing either. Somewhere not to far from civilisation, and somewhere we won't all get butt-raped or murdered. Does anyone have any experience of this sort of break away?
  6. Just don't foul anyone in the penalty area.
  7. On sale via Steam for $30

  10. Wizard's of the Coast removed MSRP from Magic products months ago, but many people seem to think that means the price of Magic products is no longer in WOTC's hands. A lot of people think that prices are now entirely decided purely by supply and demand. While it is absolutely true that supply/demand will affect secondary market prices, it's not all that it seems. 11. Also, in addition to the leylines, a couple more important reprints:
  12. The "big timmy mythic rare" cycle are called Cavaliers. Here's the whole cycle!
  13. Hey everyone! This is part 4 of our #MH1 Booster Box Opening. The first video was great. The second paid for the box. The third put us over $300. Let's see how much farther this box can take us! **Spoiler** This box has a great foil too! #MTG

  15. I really hate penalty kicks. An 85% chance at a goal does not equal a kick in the leg. That is one area of soccer that really rubs me the wrong way.
  16. I take it he wasn't the best. Or is that a good thing?
  17. Another powerful graveyard card. This thing can be MASSIVE. Remember, it's not different converted mana costs, it's JUST different mana costs. So a card that costs U and a card that costs B will be 2. I don't know if it's better or worse than Tarmogoyf, it's a little bit slower and the cost is more restrictive so it's probably not as versatile, but it's usually going to be bigger and flying makes it a more reliable game finisher.
  18. It was a long drive, I kinda regret not flying. On the way there we made it to Tulsa the first night (I liked it there) and slept east of Indianapolis the second night. Then the following day we drove to Buffalo and spent the day there. Visited Niagra Falls, which was awesome. The competition went well, some of the schools take it really seriously. Grant from Myth Busters was the keynote speaker during the opening ceremony, and he talked about himself for about half an hour. On the way home we made it outside of St. Louis the first night and home really late the following night. I'll post pics soon

  20. Yeah, I'm so used to it that experiencing anything different seems odd. Many people do not ever get used to it and leave. Light and dark have their own accompaniments. When it is light, it is usually warm. When it is dark, it is usually cold. So when I take a trip to the Lower-48, and experience both warm and dark at the same time ... it just seems surreal. There are coping mechanisms such as using blackout curtains when it is light out, and Seasonal Affected Disorder (SAD) is a real thing so some people have "happy lights". Maintaining vitamin D levels can be difficult without plenty of sunshine. Speaking of the Midnight Sun ... we have a local semi-pro baseball team (the Alaska Goldpanners - the Alaska League) that hosts a midnight sun game, where the entire game is played around midnight without using any artificial light. Quite a few tourists come up to see that, because I suppose that would seem surreal to them. There are also lots and lots of activities around summer solstice. We tend to be more solar-cycle-centric and celebrate the summer solstice and the fall equinox most heavily (e.g., the winter solstice is surrounded by other holidays). There's lots to do outside in the summer. Almost too much. So it's good that winter comes around to give us a rest. I just wish winter didn't last 6 months.
  21. Thats cool and man are you up there. I can't imagine. Do you ever get used to that? Not sure how it would be going to bed when it's light out. What do you like better, 21h of light or dark?
  22. It's the longest day of the year. Yay! Today, the sun rose at 2:57am, and will set at 12:47am, giving us a total of 21h 49m 36s of possible daylight. And it is mostly clear and sunny out. We are literally in the land of the midnight sun.
