  4. They finally picked a release date? I figured this would be vaporware.
  5. I was expecting something kind of crazy, but Homelander has me confused now. I am not sure he is entirely stable.
  6. I would have posted more last weak, but I was feeling pretty week and spent most of the last weak doing something more interesting.

That card is going to be fun. With the above list I'm going to swap out the Sanctifiers and use Thraben Inspectors instead. Some digging help.
  8. /grammar on "The last post on this forum was one week ago." "The rate of new posts and thread replies on this forum is generally weak in the summer." /grammar off That is all.

And I have completely missed this Spark Double card. It happens, not playing out much means it takes longer to get to know new sets. Well... You're telling me I can have TWO Jaces on the board? PLEASE be telling me I can haz two Jaces. Or Teferis. Or... (Hmm, on my wantlist. Apparently I did see it.)
  10. casual

Yeah, now let's add Divine Visitation. Angels coming, Angels going!
  11. Something about letting those cards go that you pulled from a pack fresh. I did that a little building my Legacy Eldrazi deck and wanted to keep going but stopped.

I have a video coming out tomorrow where I got my butt kicked by a UW Angel deck in Standard. They were using Bishop of Wings, Resplendent Angel, and Fountain of Renewal. With the Fountain and the Bishop, they were guaranteed to gain 5 life every time they played an angel, so every angel they played was accompanied by a 4/4 angel with flying and vigilance. Then they duplicated Resplendent Angel with Spark Double and things really got out of hand. XD
  13. I'm the same way! I've been gutting my collection on Cardsphere and converting cards I'm not playing into cards that I want to play. It seems logical, and I was able to convert about $300 worth of cards in my rare binder into cards for Tier 1 Affinity...but even though I have a few hundred dollars worth of cards I'm not using, every time I see someone wanting to buy them I find myself passing on the opportunity. For what reason? I don't know. I still need 2 Inkmoth Nexus and I could sell a couple more cards to get them, but every time I have a chance to sell and raise funds I choose to keep the cards instead.
  14. I've been doing that a lot lately too. It's hard to let some of that stuff go, even though a lot of it sits unplayed. Using MtG hobby to fund guitar hobby.

I found so many angels in my collection that instead of trying for one angel deck, I'm going to try for two. One mono white and one boros. I just searched through my collection and started a draft: Why the Cathedral Sanctifiers? Well, I'm trying to add in life gain for survival and to buy time before I can get the bigger angels out. Plus, they are fodder for Emancipation Angel (should be 4 copies, not 1).
  16. I've been holding onto mine for nostalgia reasons, but it might be time to say goodbye.

  20. Earlier
  21. In 2012, WOTC technically ended the World Championship. They replaced it with the "Player Championship," and the format was the brand new Modern format that was created several months earlier. The change only lasted 1 year, as WOTC would revert back to the World Championship the following year, but in the meantime Jund would steal the show while Modern was in the spotlight. I know it's a pretty typical Modern archetype, but if you're interested in what the deck looked like back in 2012, check it out!
  22. In 2012, Yuuya Watanabe won the Magic: the Gathering World Championship with this deck, Jund! Except it wasn't technically a World Championship, it was a Player Championship, and it's a Modern deck too! That's not important right now, though! If you want to check out what Jund looked like back in 2012, then stop reading this description and watch the video! 23. Yeah, that card was a rollercoaster ride for awhile. It was in the $50-range for a long time, then it plummeted down to $15 when it was printed in Battlebond, then skyrocketed again when it started being played in that Tron deck that tries to lock people out with Karn and Mycosynth Lattice. I wish I had waited a little longer to sell mine. When it spiked after the Karn deck emerged I thought it was a flash-in-the-pan type of spike and sold out when it was around $30. Turns out the deck is legitimately competitive and it's been holding steady at $50 for awhile now. I guess it's better than the $12 I almost sold it for a couple week before, though.
  24. Going through some binders today and ran across my 4 copies of Mycosynth Lattice and one foil. It's a little beat up cause I played it unsleeved for a while before I knew better. Started to wonder what worth, so I pulled it up on mtg stocks... whoa! About $55 and up to $200 for the foil. https://www.mtgstocks.com/prints/5747

Good stuff... I was thinking using it with Lethal Vapors and maybe something that punishes them when creatures die. Although I'm not sure how long that would last, someone would volunteer to skip a turn.
  26. casual

You can also use Codex Shredder and Pyxis of Pandemonium to have some control over what cards the opponent sees in the first place. If you know they are going to hit something good off the Omen Machine, just tap and make it go away.
  27. casual

Yeah, be an asshole by combining this with Teferi. (either Mage of Zhalfir or the 3-mana PW). Opponents will still get lands, but they would be unable to play the spells off of this
