  4. You can never escape! Ever! Oh look, slivers.
  5. Have you tried playing again, @Jag?
  6. As much as I hate loot boxes and similar practices that are becoming the norm, I don't think it's the governments job to intervene.
  7. I have to admit, that old feeling of wanting to buy a box is starting to creep in again. Damn you, Wizards.

  9. By the time the bill makes it through, it will have plenty of loopholes. Gamers and game companies will ... ahem ... game the system, and the legislation will end up being ineffective except as a feel-good maneuver.
  10. They join the million plus users who claim to have quit Facebook. Yet the social media giant continues to live on. All of what they complain about the service has occurred for years. Perhaps they should have better researched their marketing platform before launching there. Facebook can DIAF for all I care. I don't use it ... never have, never will.
  11. CROSSFIT, INC. SUSPENDS USE OF FACEBOOK AND ASSOCIATED PROPERTIES Does this have zero impact or open the flood gates?
  12. US loot box bill receives bipartisan support The industry went to far and brought this upon itself.
  13. You're not the first to say similar. Will add it to list. Watching fleabag at the mo. Excellent for very different reasons.
  14. Anyone watching? If not, you should. By all accounts it's very historically accurate. And holy shit. What a shit storm.
  15. Xelif, The whole chart has been modified. Does your original comment still apply?
  16. Here is an update to the Flowchart (V4 now). Thanks to Vincent Kuszter Direct link https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/1cI85Rjcdv1XYkLDg-CogxLznkE98ZoZZKRoeHLvDZSk/ MTG-Card-Identifier_v4.pdf
  17. If a single player has multiple triggered abilities go on the stack, they go on in the order that player chooses. I was actually able to abuse that with Mono-Red Battlecry, which let me stack Battle Cry triggers with creature abilities that put tokens into play on attacking. HOWEVER, I think there is a special circumstance here. Technically Shrieking Affliction won't trigger at all if a player has 4 cards in hand according to The Gatherer. https://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Shrieking+Affliction So, IF I'M READING IT CORRECTLY, which I might not be, Shrieking Affliction won't trigger at the beginning of upkeep if the opponent starts with 4 cards regardless. That certainly feels wrong, but it might be some intricacy in how it's worded or something, I don't know. *Shrug*
  18. The "Horizon Canopy" lands are pretty crazy, and Munitions Expert seems pretty good in 8-Whack.
  19. Some spoilers are out, anyone excited about this set? http://www.magicspoiler.com/mtg-set/modern-horizons/
  20. Gush is gone. The biggest surprise was what went with it. With such a massive shake up to the metagame we had to invite our spikiest of friends on the show to discuss the fallout of this huge decision, so we of course turned to Kendra, aka The Maverick Girl. 21. Well...that's over. I see it as a book preview, it should be vastly different. Here is a bit of fan fiction that helped give me some closure. And here is GRRM's take. He is a busy guy. The fact that the show is so vastly different from the books allows me to separate them. I think I was so hard on the show because I was comparing it to the books, and that kind of thing almost never helps. So I can still look forward to the books, and I am going to start a reread of them. The show made me forget how awesome books are. For those people who are still reading the books (SPOILERS) a refresher of where they are.
  22. If I have both of these cards on the battlefield and my opponent has 4 cards in hand, do they have to discard a card from Necrogen Mists, causing Shrieking Affliction to trigger? Or does it depend on which card was played first?
  23. From my perspective, I relate more to the mistakes and style of play. Easier to learn from the videos and correct mistakes of you own, instead of play that's too fast to really keep up. I can watch profession games too, but casual play is easier for me to follow and I find it more interesting.

  26. I'm definitely interested in it. I play more competitive Magic than kitchen table magic though. I'm about 95 to 98 percent competitive Magic and 2 to 5 percent non-competitive. I like to watch pro Magic as a way to personally improve my play at the game.
  27. I love watching GP coverage, but I primarily watch based on the deck match ups and less so for the actual players playing. I'll usually seek out GP coverage videos featuring decks I play to see the lines of play I should be considering when I play the deck myself. So yeah, I definitely enjoy watching the game being played at a high level, and I've learned a lot about the intricacies of gameplay by watching the pros. (Most of which I immediately forget when I actually play myself...) I've tried watching more casual tabletop videos, there is a local gaming store that records its Friday Night Magic tournaments and posts them on Youtube for example, but watching people make play mistake after play mistake gets a little grating. Which, I suppose, is probably why my own MTGO content does so poorly.
  28. A lot of coverage goes to the profession scene and it's players. I have zero interest in it, but I'm curious how many of you are interested in it. When I read or skim through these articles I don't share them here because I didn't know how many of you care. How interested are you in the pro scene and it's players?
  29. Princess Bride quote ftw.
